Seven Days on Skokholm: Part One
If I had a week with nothing to do, I would write amazing words. I would write a book. I would write a million words and then dream the story while I slept under the stars and then I would write another million words and the faeries would come out and dance around me and I would make novels like the miller’s daughter spinning gold out of straw.
Seven Days on Skokholm: Part Two
Skokholm, Richard tells us, is a honeycomb of burrows. The rabbits, the puffins, the storm petrels and the manx shearwaters all make their own burrows and to be honest, it’s a bit of a nightmare, the island riddled with holes.

The ground in front of me slopes down. There is a red painted stone marking the end of the path, which makes me laugh, because of course I’m not going to stumble down to the cliff edge, the sea crashing against the rocks a hundred feet below.

I’m excited to hear that Bard and Sages Quarterly, edited by Rona Ji and Julie Ann Dawson, has been released, and includes the story A Foregone Conclusion! This was a collaboration by me and my son that I’m particularly proud of. It was released on Amazon on July 1st.
I am thrilled to announce that my short story An App for That will be appearing in the anthology Chasing Shadows edited by David Brin & Stephen W. Potts, in collaboration with the Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination. The anthology will be released by Tor in 2016.

My short story The Front Line is going to be translated into Croatian for publication in Parsek: http://parsek.sfera.hr/ I’m pretty sure this makes the Front Line my most reprinted story.
This is the 12th foreign language that my English fiction has appeared in.
Flash Fiction Online have just confirmed their interest in my story When the Selkie Comes. This is one of my favourite venues that I’ve never had a story in before, so I’m looking forward to this.
I’m thrilled to *finally* appear in German. La Paella is to be translated and published by the Austrian magazine Visionarium.
I’m pleased to say that my silly story about a granny with a jetpack has sold to Daily Science Fiction. I’m looking forward to seeing it on their site in the new year.
