My story The Girl Who Used to Be My Sister will appear in the forthcoming Estonian anthology Kaarnakirjas 4. Kaarnakirjas is a themed speculative fiction series from Kirjastus Fantaasia. The series title is an Estonian play on words that on the surface means something like “written in crow script,” with kiri carrying multiple meanings including “writing” and “letter. It might be a raven, not a crow. Estonian puns are complicated.
My story appears in Estonian as Tüdruk, kes oli kunagi mu õde, translated by Sash Veelma.
Kaarnakirjas 4 is on the theme of Forgotten and Hidden Secrets: Party at the End of Time. The anthology brings together established and emerging writers, inviting them to explore themes they wouldn’t normally write about.
The anthology is coming out at the end of the month and I can’t wait to see it!
